Michael Associates are Recommended Suppliers for design and new media

As Leicesters’ award winning integrated digital communications agency, we are pleased to be a “Recommended Supplier” on ‘Recommended Agency Register’ (RAR), the UKs only client audited, design agency directory.

The Recommended status is given in secret by clients, scoring us from a set of questions and from commented feedback. This is then checked and validated by the RAR team who then make the decision to issue the recommended status.

We would like to thank all the clients who have submitted their personal private feedback in helping us to achieve this coveted UK wide status. We value your comments no matter how big or small, as this helps us improve our continued quality service and support in your projects.

Charity Work begins on the race course!

NSPCC Donnington

NSPCC Donnington

We will be at Donnington Park, Leicestershire over the weekend helping to raise funds for NSPCC at the British Touring Car Championships.

Wellies and a Mac will be required we think as it looks like rain will be on the agenda. We have been keeping a very close eye on the weather. But being prepared is the motto.

Come rain or shine, we will be out doing our little bit for charity.

Just like one of the big brands say “Every Little Helps”. :)

Supporting the Braunstone Community

Last week saw me head back to school, to make cakes! It wasnt as easy as you may think! The day was part of a week long event called Cake Catastrophe. Organised by Leicestershire Education Business Company, the event held at Ellesmere College – a special needs school in Braunstone. The aim of the event was to encourage students to develop their enterprise skills through team building, self esteem, creativity and cooking. This fun and interactive week involved working with a small group of students with educational needs. Students began the week with team building activities and then will look at all aspects of cake making (Packaging, Taste, Marketing and Producing) ultimately resulting in the students selling their cakes at the school and at Leicester Market on Friday.

It was a great day though very tiring as we helped the children make hundreds of fairy cakes and plenty of Victoria sponges.

I even managed to stick to the diet and didnt eat a single cake on the day but ended up making some at the weekend using rhubarb – drop me a line if you want the receipe as they were gorgeous!

The children did a great job selling the cakes on friday and raised over £50 for Shelter.

Vote Earth

Earth, Switch Off Your Lights

Michael Associates and all its divisions have decided to join the World Wildlife Funds’ VOTE EARTH campaign on Saturday 28th March. They will join millions of people switching off their lights between 8.30 -9.30 pm. This year, Earth Hour has been transformed into the world’s first global election, between Earth and global warming. (See why we are involved here Earth Hour Official Video.)

For the first time in history, people of all ages, nationalities, race and background have the opportunity to use their light switch as their vote – Switching off your lights is a vote for Earth, or leaving them on is a vote for global warming. WWF are urging the world to VOTE EARTH and reach the target of 1 billion votes, which will be presented to world leaders at the Global Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen 2009. This meeting will determine official government policies to take action against global warming, which will replace the Kyoto Protocol. It is the chance for the people of the world to make their voice heard. Read the rest of this entry »
