The Pepperio hosted service has been upgraded and below describes the highlights of the improvements that we’ve made to the
product.
This is intended for Pepperio customers already familiar with previous
versions of Pepperio who would like to be aware of the new features and enhancements provided
the latest version 4.4.
Recycle Bin
We all make mistakes and delete things that perhaps we shouldn’t have. In Pepperio
4.4 we have introduced a Recycle Bin that works in exactly the same way as your
Windows desktop that stores deleted items and allows you to restore deleted
pages and managed assets.
Google Site Maps
To help them find and index your website, Google have developed a standard site
map format that enables its search algorithm to find your site more easily. Pepperio
4.4 automatically generates these site maps dynamically as you make changes to
your site.
Taxonomy Browser
Understanding your pages, describing their contents through metadata, such as
keywords, has always been a core part of Pepperio.
Taxonomy expands on this concept, in that it is a hierarchical structure of terms that
relate to one another and give the page some context. So for example tagging your
item as being about “Cheese” could also indicate that it’s a “Dairy Product”.
In Pepperio 4.4 we have implemented a Taxonomy Browser, previously only available
in Enterprise Web Content Management products, which easily allows content
authors to simply upload and browse one of these Taxonomy structures and add
these terms to their pages.
RSS/Blog Integration
Sharing ideas and content via RSS has always been a standard feature in Pepperio,
where pages can be displayed in the RSS XML format. Pepperio 4.4 expands this to
allow business users to select RSS feeds and Blogs to display on their own site, in
their own branding.
