Michael Associates Ltd and B&Q Do It Together in aid of the NPSCC

Leicester, UK - 17 March 2008

It was cold, it was wet, and it was windy. It was the morning of Saturday 8th of March, and the team at Michael Associates Ltd were found loitering by the exit of B&Q, Leicester, wrapped up against the chill and holding on expectantly to their empty collection buckets, and preparing to raise funds for the NSPCC.

The team were off to a promising start when one of them managed to collect their first donation on the journey to the store; and despite the weather the hardy DIY’ers of Leicester were soon out in force, purchasing fence panels and buying spring blooms, and digging deep into their pockets helping fill the collection buckets.

By the end of the day the team had sore feet, heavy buckets and light hearts after raising over £400.00; almost doubling the amount raised at Christmas in Nottingham.

Michael Cheung, Creative Director of Michael Associates Ltd said, “The team had a great day out and met some wonderful local people who offered their spare change and kindly donated to this worthwhile cause. The Leicester team at B&Q were very supportive and generous and we would like to thank them for allowing us to collect at the store.”

Every single penny raised will help the NSPCC support children and young people who desperately need someone to turn to. Just £3 could pay for one child’s call to ChildLine..
