Printed Publications Go Digital

A new media company is combining new technology with old fashioned print to produce an innovative new on-line product that will reduce paper consumption.

Digital Publishing International has created an electronic version of the traditional magazines and comics as part of its digital publishing expansion.

The Digital Publishing System developed in Leicester is a device that will give the look and feel of a physical printed item, allowing you to flick from page to page and watch multimedia animation, while reducing the environmental impact created by paper and ink.

Michael Cheung, creative director and member of LATi said: “As a nation we are trying to become greener and our fantastic new product can hopefully help wean people off their paper addiction by merging the best of technology with the best of magazines.

“The Digital Publishing System gives the feel and look of real life magazines without the environmental impact as no paper is needed and distribution costs are eliminated as it’s all done via the Internet. We already have clients in Singapore and America who have taken up this technology and we are in talks with some other major players in the field.”
