How to: Configure Pop3 Accounts using Microsoft Outlook

Microsoft Outlook 2003
In Outlook, go to the Tools menu and click on Email
Accounts.

Select Add a new email account and then click Next.

Select POP3 and then click Next.

Enter your email information:
Your Name: your personal
name
Email Address: the email address the messages
will be sent from
Incoming Mail server (POP3): mail.domainname.xyz
Outgoing
Mail server (SMTP): mail.domainname.xyz
User Name: the
email address used to log into the webmail interface
Password:
the password for the email address

Click on More Settings and you are on the General
Tab.
Fill in the 3 boxes with your information.

Select the Outgoing Server Tab
Check "My outgoing server
(SMTP) requires authentication".
The "Select Use same settings
as my incoming mail server"
should now be selected.

Select the Connection Tab.
Check the "Connect using my
local area network (LAN)"
is selected.

Select the Advanced Tab.
Check the following are selected:
"Incoming server (POP3)" has the number
110
"Outgoing
server (SMTP)" has the number 25

Click OK. Click Next. Click Finish
